Bruce Hoffman has been studying terrorism and insurgency for almost half a century. He is the Shelby Cullom and Kathryn W. Davis senior fellow for counterterrorism and homeland security at the Council on Foreign Relations and a tenured professor at the Edmund A. Walsh School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University. Professor Hoffman has written several books about terrorism including the classic Inside Terrorism and, with Jacob Ware, God, Guns, and Sedition: Far-Right Terrorism in America.
